A couple weeks ago I hosted a “Build Your Own Burger” dinner at Butcher & The Burger for a group of my foodie friends. Luckily the weather was incredible so we were seated on the patio. We started the evening with soda in glass bottles (my favorite!) and some delicious pickles. How appropriate for a burger joint! Next came the fries. OH THE FRIES! I am a sucker for french fries and these were probably the best I’ve ever had. They were made with Chipperbec potatoes, which are typically used for potato chips. Cooked perfectly so that they were slightly crispy, I literally could not stop eating them! I had to have my boyfriend take them away for me. They also came with a side of a truffle mayo…OMG!
Then came the time to decide what we wanted on our burgers. Butcher & the Burger allows you to pick everything you want on your burger from the protein, to the bun, and all of the (yummy yummy) toppings.
All of my guests had very different burgers. Some went the classic route while others were a little more adventurous. My boyfriend Ian went the classic route.
Now it’s time to unveil my burger. I will start by saying that I may have went a little overboard. But do I have any regrets? NOPE.
It was so yummy. The patty was cooked perfectly, the eggs were nice and runny, and the BBQ pork belly was so tender. One of the best burgers I have ever had! The fact that I was able to choose what I wanted, and had a lot of options to choose from, made it even better! I cannot wait to go back.
Here are a couple of the Instagram shots I took:
